I would like to thank you all for your lovely messages in regard to my previous journal. All those happy thoughts must have worked as we have now had Isabela at home with us for just over a month. She is currently a little over 5 months old, though her corrected age is around 7 weeks or so and she is doing most things that 7 week old babies should be doing :) She currently has oxygen support, though hopefully only for a few months with some time off during the day and needs a bit of help to eat enough food to put on weight - though not through lack of enthusiasm!. Well my last update was to tell you about my pregnancy, this one is to let you know that my daughter Isabela Sofia arrived on the 6th January - being extremely early, only 25 weeks and one day old. That is 25 weeks out of a normal 36-42. We are very lucky that she has made it so far - 8 weeks old yesterday. She has gone from 730g at birth to 2kg, but we still have quite a way to go before we can bring her home from hospital. Needless to say, my photos revolve around her right now, and by taking photos every day we are better able to see her progress over the last 8 weeks.
